Handcrafted with over 200 individual strips of wood using the “strip-build” technique, each piece of wood is placed over a custom wood frame…one strip at a time.
I used multiple species in this piece including redwood, cedar, poplar, paulownia, and wenge.
Eleven Waves earned the 3rd Place Award in the 2015 Design in Wood International Competitive Exhibition, Traditional Woodworking Accessories Category.
It’s a 7′ 5″ x 20″ x 3″ double barreled Cal Gun inspired shape with a tri-fin set up. The fins are my own custom design, as well.
